New!!! SMS Text Messaging Service

We are pleased to announce that we have introduced a new SMS Text messaging Service.

This service will be used for appointment reminders and other significant reminders such as flu clinic alerts. To be able to receive SMS text alerts you will need to make sure the surgery has your up to date mobile phone number. If you are unsure which number we have, just let us know the one you would like us to hold.

To update your mobile number, read our mobile phone policy, or opt out of the service you can download our mobile phone leaflet here and forward it to the surgery or hand it in at reception.

A change to the Solent Branch Opening hours

From the beginning of April the Solent Branch will be open in the mornings only. This decision has been made following discussions with the Patient Forum.
Please be aware, this does not mean we are reducing the number of available appointments.

When we merged with Solent Surgery, the Primary Care Trust (PCT) provided extra resources to help us keep it open and staffed all day. However, these extra resources will be withdrawn at the end of March, and so we have to operate the surgery and its branches as efficiently as we can with the remaining available resources.
We apologise if this causes an inconvenience and can reassure you that the number of available appointments will remain unchanged. Only the distribution between branches will be affected.
