A change to the Solent Branch Opening hours

From the beginning of April the Solent Branch will be open in the mornings only. This decision has been made following discussions with the Patient Forum.
Please be aware, this does not mean we are reducing the number of available appointments.

When we merged with Solent Surgery, the Primary Care Trust (PCT) provided extra resources to help us keep it open and staffed all day. However, these extra resources will be withdrawn at the end of March, and so we have to operate the surgery and its branches as efficiently as we can with the remaining available resources.
We apologise if this causes an inconvenience and can reassure you that the number of available appointments will remain unchanged. Only the distribution between branches will be affected.

A new appointment system

Over the next few weeks we are implementing new appointment software at the practice. The new system will integrate much more closely with the clinical records and we hope it will improve both the efficiency and quality of care we provide in the future. However, with every big change comes a period of training, and over the next few weeks until we go live in April all of our staff will be getting used to the new system. In addition, for a short period of time we will find ourselves juggling between our old and new systems. To this end we would like to ask for your patience. Inevitably, during this transition period, the booking of appointments may take a little longer, and if we are being honest, we may also have a few teething troubles as things settle down so please bear with us during this busy time.We would like to thank you for your patience.

New website

Well the new website has been up and running for a couple of weeks now. We hope you can still find all the information you need. The search has been improved and is available from every page. It includes a drop down box enabling you to search our entire library of patient information leaflets. Also, to improve our prescription requests, we have reverted to direct emails. This means we can send a reply and confirm receipt of your request - something several of you have asked for. If you have any feedback, please let us know.
